 Orthopaedics Minimize

Broken bones, dislocated joints, torn ligaments can all generally be managed with some form of orthopaedic surgery. This is a very specialised form of surgery that is often referred to as the carpentry of surgery. It can require some very careful precision to get bones and joints back together again to allow them to heal. It often requires putting some sort of insert, often metal, into the bones or joints to hold the pieces together while the body heals them.

Once healed these bones are often as good as new again. We have a fairly talented team of surgeons who will tackle most problems we are presented with, but if it is beyond our capabilities, we are happy to refer to specialist surgeons as well.

 General Surgery Minimize

Our surgery is equipped to perform most types of surgery with modern anaesthetic machines, blood pressure, heart rate and respiratory monitors. Our veterinarians perform an extensive range of surgeries such as desexing, caesarians, tumour and lump removals, exploratory surgery, abscess repair, orthopaedic surgery, wound repair, intestinal obstructions, and more.

As with human surgery, our veterinarians scrub up, wear surgical attire and safety protection as well as using autoclaved instruments throughout the procedure. A fully trained veterinary nurse assists the veterinarian and continually monitors your pet throughout the procedure.

 Grooming Minimize
We offer basic grooming services for your small animals. Most pets usually require an anaesthetic for the process, but on occasion, some pets can be groomed without having a general anaesthetic.
For this reason, your pet needs to be treated like a surgery day patient. This means they need to be fasted overnight and then dropped off between 8am and 9am on the day. When you arrive in the morning, you will have a consultation with the vet nurse who will be grooming your pet to ensure that your pet will receive the groom you require.
For more information on our grooming services, phone us at the clinic on 2159237.
