 Tableting Your Pet Minimize

From time to time your dog or cat will require tablets such as worming tablets, or antibiotics. Giving tablets to your pet can be tricky business so here are a few tips that can help make medication time less stressful for you and your pet.

How to Tablet Your Cat Minimize

Refer to the dosage instructions given to you by your vet, and double check that you have the correct amount of medication.

Hold your cat in a sitting position and place one hand on top of the cat's head, over the ears, holding around the cheeks.

Tilt the head backwards so the nose is pointing at the ceiling. This will cause their mouth to open slightly.

Hold the tablet between the thumb and index finger of your second hand as shown.

Open their mouth with the fingers of your other hand.

Drop the tablet into the back of the throat.

Close their mouth and rub the neck to stimulate the swallow reflex.

Ensure the tablet has been swallowed.
