Hills' Prescription Diet Canine z/d Minimize

Hill’s Prescription Diet Canine z/d ULTRA Allergen-Free

For the Nutritional Management of Food Allergy and Intolerance

Food allergy and intolerance can cause serious skin and stomach problems. This condition is usually an abnormal response to a specific protein in food. Only Prescription Diet z/d pet food is formulated with Hill’s Hydrolyzed Protein System, a process that eliminates animal intact proteins and significantly reduces the possibility of an adverse reaction to food.

Why has my pet been prescribed this food?

Your pet has been given a specific prescription diet for the management of their dietary sensitivity. The causes of dietary sensitivity are complex and often multifactorial - signs of dietary sensitivity may include:

·       Vomiting.

·       Diarrhoea.

·       Flatulence.

·       Frequent scratching and hair loss.

·       Red inflamed skin.

·       Sometimes poor appetite and lethargy.

·       Sometimes coughing, wheezing or sneezing.

Key benefits of this diet are:

·       Single protein source of high biological value (highly digestible).

·       High quality highly digestible carbohydrate source.

·       Reduced fat content.

It is extremely important whilst your pet is on this diet that you avoid feeding any other food types (including treats) as even extremely small amounts of the wrong food can trigger and adverse reaction to food. If you have any questions or uncertain whether some foods are OK to feed, please phone and ask first before doing so.

Your pet is on a prescription diet.  It is important that appropriate follow up visits are organised to monitor your pet’s progress on this diet so we can assess product effectiveness and ensure that your pet is doing as well as possible.

Please check that an appointment or reminder has been made. This may involve health checks, blood or urine tests, weight checks etc. Many visits can be organised with our veterinary nursing staff or nutritional advisors.

PLEASE DO NOT HESITATE TO CONTACT US TO DISCUSS YOUR PET’S PROGRESS.
